Like many entrepreneurs, Christy McCallum describes her experience of starting a business as somewhat accidental.  Though her formal education is in Healthcare Administration and Management and her professional background ranges across a variety of industries, she felt immediately at ease leading a team and driving the growth of a small business.

In addition to providing plenty of challenges and opportunities for learning, she says at the end of the day, working in catering is a blast.  There’s a lot for her to love about catering, where she can problem solve, direct others, create ideas and see them to fruition.  She balances a sharp focus on leveling-up her company with a tenacious dedication to culture, a happy workplace is a priority to her.

A sentimental person at heart, Christy McCallum loves the particular warmth and emotion of wedding days and is continually inspired by the opportunity for memory-making that each event brings. She is known at Fireside for her flair for creativity and friendly customer service.  Christy loves creative cooking because it pushes boundaries of what’s possible in catering and she is passionate about developing new flavors, new dishes, and new ways to wow guests.  Christy enjoys the detailed preparation and organization required to make an event successful, and revels in the feeling of watching it all come together.

Outside of work she loves hosting parties (it’s her second nature) and finding new hobbies.  She loves to sing, touching the hearts of everyone who hears her voice.
